The Willcocks Nursery display their property window cards at Fuller Gilbert Estate Agents

Fuller Gilbert & Company recently had the pleasure of meeting the next generation of property entrepreneurs when we welcomed a lively group of nursery school children to learn about the work of a sales and lettings agent.

The group of four-year-olds, from The Willcocks Nursery, were escorted to our Kensington offices, where they were introduced to the basics of buying and selling homes as part of an educational project designed to give them an early insight into different careers.

Upon arrival, the children were greeted by Fuller Gilbert Managing Director Jay Collins, although most were more excited to see the property window cards they had designed prior to their visit, proudly displayed in the main window. This drew plenty of attention from passers-by and much amusement from the children.

Jay guided the group to the boardroom, where a lively debate on the property market took place. Topics included what type of property each child lived in, the number on their front door, and how many houses they had lived in. The conversation then moved into more specialised areas, with a particular highlight being a discussion about how many toys each participant had in their bedroom.

“They were quite inquisitive and eager to learn about the work we do,” said Jay. “We talked about why people buy homes, and even though they’re young, I think they really grasped the idea of how we help families find the perfect place to live.”

With the meeting concluded, there was just enough time for a visit to the key cupboard to view the vast array of metalwork. For some, this provided an opportunity to help out by rearranging a few keys before each child was given a set of rainbow pencils to aid in the production of future window card designs.

Fuller Gilbert & Company would like to thank all of our young visitors and the teachers from The Willcocks Nursery for a wonderfully entertaining and educational morning. We look forward to meeting—and perhaps working with—you all again.
